Welcome to the Dungarvan Community

Dungarvan is a thriving coastal market town nestled beneath the mountains of County Waterford. Strategically located on the South East coast of Ireland it has a population of just over 7,000 people. The town is situated between the two prominent cities of Waterford and Cork, about 45 kilometres from Waterford and 80 kilometres from Cork. There is good, regular public transport to both cities. Dungarvan is noted for the nearby clean, safe Blue Flag beach of Clonea, a joy all the year round and especially for families in summer. There are three excellent golf courses on the town fringes, West Waterford, The Gold Coast and Dungarvan. There is sailing and fishing and tennis and an extremely well organised hill-walking club for forays into the surrounding mountains and further afield. Dungarvan is an excellent place to holiday and to live in.
